Sounds strange. How do you know there are 14 000 Named Groups in the file? My NG dialog doesn't count them. So where do you see that figure? Is it 10 000 empty NGs, and 4000 with elements? By share coincidence I looked in the file I have open now. It is a dgn saved from a dwg I got from the local 'county' over a property with geometry like terrain, borders, streets, electrical powerlines, curbings etc. It has 64 NGs with names TCExplodednn where nn goes from 00 to 63. Seems like lines that are more complex than straight lines in the dwg each creates a NG. Never noticed anything like that before. Also - I am curious about your 4d simulation. Can you share your workflow?
