if the ref file name and are model name is always the same it should be pretty easy... try and record a macro ( vba) of doing it manually for one or two drawing files, then review the code to see how you could use the commands or macro itself in the batch processor tool... a low down dirty cheat trick would be to replace the ref file model contents with the desired contents, then the files would update themselves, how many ref files we talking, you could put the original data in a model called superseded todays date etc This is how I would do the dirty cheat, If the original model is the default ( name ) model and the model you want say is called option 2 copy the default model and rename the copy it 010 superseded default ddmmyyy now delete all the contents of the original default model ( I assume it is the default model that you want to swap out as it is being the one attached at present) now self ref the desired model content to the default , use the quick keyin RF=. and it will run the ref attach tool with the active file already selected you just have to pull down which model to use eg option 2 , once attached use the merge command from the ref manager , and lastly delete the option 2 model or rename it superseded and rename the description of the default model , not the name, to Option2 and dated.. so your QA masters will still be happy and keep your boss happy too... plus its logical Now all the files that used that default model and that file as a ref will all contain the new information automatically.. you just have to batch print to see it all load in the updated plans...
