Your key-in does work pretty good with a circle. Not so great with my lasso cell. The problem is being able to scale and rotate the cell. I don't think the scale option works correctly with the rotate option selected. It allows the cell to get all distorted. I think I'll submit a support ticket for that and see what they say. I could preset the active angle before placing the cell, but I don't know what angle the leader will need to be beforehand. Also using this method you have to make sure the place interactive option (Scale and Rotate, Rotate Only, or Scale Only) is set before hand. That's doable but getting to be too complicated for my users who are just learning MicroStation.
okI made a laso cell and yes it doesnt like both scale and rotate but scale works really well and you can find and set the keyin prefixed for making the setting scale interactive before executing the place cell, now I made my laso1 cell on a 60 deg from horiz, so if we could make a few sepparate cells at different angles and name them then create a pull down menu for each rotation or prefix the keyins with the AA= 60, or 120,240,-60 so to make the keyin easier I have worked it to do only scale and a preset angle ie 60 or what ever works for you it will force you to place two data points and then type note text and line up leader by eye, this say 4 angles method would work well with a pull down menu otherwise create a vba macro that is interactive lets you place a two points for the scale and angle first point being the origin and last point gets the angle and scale This is a bit beyond my ability to make a good vba, but my 4 angle options in a pull down is easy and requires very little training of new users, I think visually the 4 cardinal angles would give the best look and allow enough options for most cases... the scaling is dynamic... here is keyin for 60 degrees, it will force scale interactive aa=60;ac=laso;place cell interactive relative;set item toolsettings cellinteractiontype=2;%d;%d;place note if you create the pull down menu in your interface dgnlib you can share with others...nobody needs to see the actual keyins just labels ie Lasso 60 etc or you can make a pallet with icons and show the lasso at the angles...I like pulldowns ...you can also make vba to have just the pallet and it runs the keyins for the menu etc... lots of ways to skin a cad cad!
