Thank you Andrew, and thank you Melissa. My current version is v8i SS2 (I don't have the exact release number at hand). While I understand that V8i certified for Windows 8/8.1 would be a version that supersedes my current one, my immediate need would be to be able to install my current version, and then evaluate an upgrade should there be limitations or incompatibilities (aside from the obvious benefits of a version upgrade). While I still use Microstation for occasional work, I am a senior retired architect and my current SS2 suits my current needs very well, but I have to move onto a more recent OS.
