so you have all the lines with styles applied its just they are all separate line segments between nodes We have a tool in mstn which will join them all together but its one line at a time, "create complex chain" you can use automatic and it will jump from segment to segment and you only need select the first segment of a group of segments that should be a string. ( I suggest you create new level and a different colour so you know which have been done) I have made little video demo to show how easy the manual method is .. If click on link doenst work in post copy paste it into browser... I wish we could select all and run the create automatic chain but it doesnt work that way ... one segment node to node at a time ... Its painstaking work if you have lots of these then this method is very tedious, if you can ask your surveyor he may be able to re output all the data as strings, failing that. You can also do a series of exports with fence around a group then export coordinates and save to a text file, make sure you call them something like line1.txt, line2.txt you can then modify the output in excel or notepad and add place smartline at the beginning so it then can be used as a script file to redraw the lines as strings or polylines (acad speak) you do this for every string selection needed and just run the script files one at a time this is safer than one big script... I would even create new levels to put this on then later delete the old data and rename the new... this is a bit tedious but its very safe and the export coordiantes tool will number each node end so your sure its been done... delete later... There is another way if you have access to autocad or acad user then they can make a selection of everything and run polygonise command to turn all selection into separate strings but only if no gaps between ends and it dont like cross overs.. this is a feature that is sorely lacking in mstn,,, There have been custom VBA and MDLs made in the past for this but 3rd party and not free...
