Forum Post: RE: Microstation CONNECT unable to draw short lines?

I've seen this sort of thing...where's there's a certain distance I have to go out before Accudraw will "let go" of my initial point. I like the fact that Accudraw points are "sticky" but that does mean that there are some small movements I can't make. I'd try to draw (or move) a small distance, and Accudraw would just bring me back to that first/origin point). It never seemed to be tied to any particular distance, however - more of a function of my zoom factor. Could that be it? Try zooming in or out a bit, and see if that has any affect on that threshold.

Alright, under the Click sensitivity, mine is set to normal. I feel like I found my solution but just to be sure... what change would solve my problem?

After issuing the key in "place->fence->block", how do I go about placing the coordinates for the fence that is to be created without manually clicking the points. i.e tell the script which points to use for the fence. Thank you.
How do I tell the script which points to use for the fence?
You can key-in a coordinate in MicroStation's key-in window using syntax... xy=1.234,2.345 Note: there are no spaces in the above. You can put multiple statements in the same key-in using the semi-colon as a separator... xy=1.234,2.345;xy=2.345,3.456 If you're writing an @script use the same syntax.

lets say the redundancy happens 4 times and in 3 of the cases the level is on and in one case the level is off - which one should win ? If you say the level should always be on, then what happens if dimensions or text is turned on in one of the files for labeling, or some cloud identifying something for removal, etc... and this is not need in the overall master file. It is hard to determine which case wins. So the first reference encountered is the one that is used - after that it will be considered redundant. Lets say they were all on, and you wanted to turn that level off, you would need to know every instance of that level and go in and turn it off.

Is there a key-in to automatically accept the command
Many commands request a data point to confirm the action. You can place a data point anywhere manually to accept the prompt. Likewise, your @script can confirm by sending a new XY=1234,5678 The coordinates are immaterial.

for example: $(build(devdir(_DGNFILE),"z Plans\z Sheets\")) for a folder deeper down than the folder the DGN file is in. build() is in the help. dev is device which means which drive. dir is the stuff past the drive letter in the file path. devdir combines these. _DGNFILE must be in the help somewhere but I found it from an internet search. back slashes are used because of the quotation marks. Note that MicroStation will expand these in the Configuration menu area so you can preview what the computer will use.

Forum Post: V8i SS4 - Reference Window - Reference selection

Hello users! When I am selecting a reference file in the References window, the first click will select a reference to make active/hilite. However sometimes after another click or after a few clicks on different rows it will change to a drag selection, which is not what I want to happen. It doesn't seem to be with the timing between my clicks, but may be related. Is there a way to disable a drag selection or force it.. .i.e. by hitting the shift key only? To clarify, I am only asking about actions that take place withing the References window. Thanks, Adam

There is a configuration variable that can be set to allow redundant references, please see: https://communities.bentley.com/products/microstation/w/microstation__wiki/10445.redundant-references
